Financing MOAH was founded in 1985 as a 501c(3) corporation. Founded with support from the Frank Livermore Trust, MOAH achieves its annual funding needs through donations, membership fees, event revenue, and an endowment revenue.

Exhibits are supplemented by related lectures, classes, workshops, and events.
